Everything you need to know about the first-ever digital-art drop from GQ.
The GQ3 Issue 001: Change Is Good collection is the first-ever drop of digital art from GQ. GQ carefully curated four exceptional artists and gave them a challenge: to explore the GQ motto Change Is Good through their work.
Each artist created more than 100 unique traits that were algorithmically combined into stand-alone artworks. Each artist then carefully hand-selected a final collection of one-of-a-kind pieces, which are all being offered as a part of this collection, the first in a series of drops by GQ celebrating exciting artists to watch.
The final number of works in the collection is 1,661, a celebration of the 66th anniversary of GQ.
Each piece will be priced at 0.1957 ETH, in honor of the year GQ was founded.
The GQ3 Issue 001: Change Is Good collection will mint on March 8 in these phases:
Follow GQ announcements on social media for opportunities to join the pre-mint list.
Artworks from the GQ3 Issue 001: Change Is Good collection can be purchased with ETH or with a credit card in the currency of your choice. Supported wallets include WalletConnect, Coinbase & MetaMask.
Allow lists and wait lists are compiled at the discretion of GQ. The guaranteed allow list will be open to all holders of GQ OG NFTs. If you are on the guaranteed allow list, you are guaranteed the opportunity to mint a digital collectible if you mint your digital collectible during the Tier 1 allow list time slot. If you are on the pre-mint list, you will receive early access to mint the digital collectible, in accordance with the minting schedule described above, but you are not guaranteed to be able to mint a digital collectible.
Follow GQ announcements on social media and in the Discord for opportunities to join the pre-mint list.
The GQ3 Issue 001: Change Is Good collection will drop as a blind mint. A blind mint means that you’ll mint a token from the GQ3 Issue 001 drop without knowing exactly which one you’ll receive. It ensures everyone has a chance to get the artwork they want, and creates a fun surprise when the artwork is revealed. Users will be able to view their revealed artwork 24 hours after the public sale.
There are many ways you can see your token in the crypto wallet you use and on secondary marketplaces, including OpenSea, but most users should visit their profile on OpenSea and look for their GQ3 token in the “Collected” tab.
The artist retains ownership of any and all intellectual property rights included within the artwork associated with your GQ3 token. GQ3 token holders get a limited license which gives you the right to display the digital asset for personal, noncommercial use, or to transfer the NFT to a third party on a secondary market. See more on the terms and conditions here.
GQ is focused on creating exciting Web3 experiences for the GQ3 community, offering new opportunities for people to join, and empowering a new generation of artists. Stay tuned for more exciting GQ3 announcements in 2023 and beyond.

Holders of GQ3 tokens have the opportunity to receive some sick perks.
A token from GQ Issue 001: Change Is Good collection purchased on the secondary market gives you:
Original minters of GQ Issue 001: Change Is Good tokens were offered a one-time utility package, the claim window for which is now closed, that included:
Eligible holders who redeemed the GQ Box will receive their GQ Box four-to-six weeks after they supply their details. If you have any issues with the box, you can raise an issue in the GQ Discord or reach out to customer service, which can be found here.
Note that token holders located in the US who claimed during the utility claim window will receive their first issue (the May issue) roughly six weeks after they share their shipping information, while international holders will receive their first issue in late June (the Summer issue).
There are no refunds or returns for any components of the one-time utility including the subscription, GQ Box and GQ3 merch.
The location of any events open to GQ3 token holders is at the discretion of GQ and you will be responsible for your own costs of travel to the event.
The window for redeeming the GQ Issue 001: Change Is Good one-time utility is now closed. Holders who purchase on secondary are still offered ongoing utility like access to the holders-only section of the GQ Discord, future live events, and first-in-line access to future drops.
As the holder of this token you will be able to access exclusive token-holder-only sections on the GQ Discord; you will also have the opportunity to access exclusive GQ offerings throughout the year. If you sell your token, access to NFT-holder Discord channels and all future GQ3 offerings will go to the new holder. You will lose the right to redeem any unredeemed utility.
If you have purchased your GQ3 NFT on the secondary market, note that some of the utility may have already been redeemed, or the redemption window could have expired. Please visit gq3.io to verify eligibility before you purchase.
If the utility has already been redeemed, the holder will be entitled to any future perks, including the opportunity to attend exclusive events. Make sure that you are purchasing a verified GQ3 NFT to be able to gain access to the GQ3 community.
Join the GQ Discord and raise your issue in the #open-a-ticket channel. A member of the GQ Discord team will get back to you there and assist with your question or issue.
Burning questions—and answers!—about the insanely creative, uniquely confusing, and quite possibly revolutionary world of non-fungible tokens.
GQ3 is the umbrella term for all of GQ’s Web3 programming and our experimentation with new technologies like Discord, blockchain tokens, metaverses, digital wearables, and more.
It’s also a community where GQ readers can gather to be inspired and exchange ideas in spaces like the GQ Discord about how technology is changing the worlds of style and culture.
GQ launched its first Metaverse issue in May 2022, with the June/July issue featuring Bad Bunny on the cover. In addition to some wild long reads covering Faze Clan, Bored Apes, and much more, the issue marked the launch of a brand-new GQ community on Discord where you can get to know our team, attend talk backs and digital events, get exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and get a first look at everything GQ is developing in Web3 and the metaverse.
GQ has hosted some of the most exciting people in Web3 in its Discord for Fashion in the metaverse events—the people behind exciting projects like Deadfellaz, or the changing way fashion shows up in the metaverse from brands like Diesel.
Long before the Change Is Good collection was announced, the GQ OG token was airdropped for free to the first 1000 people who joined the GQ3 Discord in the initial 24 hours. GQ OG tokens are also occasionally offered as a prize for top engagers in the GQ3 Discord, at the discretion of the GQ team. The GQ OG token is also available to purchase on OpenSea.
Holders of the GQ OG have so far received a ton of benefits, including entry into Discord competitions like our Moncler jacket giveaway, and access to exclusive allowlists spots for NFT communities that we have featured in our Discord. GQ OG holders also get access to the guaranteed allowlist for our upcoming GQ3 Issue 001 drop.
GQ OG holders will continue to have access to the holders-only section of the GQ Discord, the ability to enter exclusive GQ3 Discord competitions and allowlist access to future GQ3 drops.
GQ is partnering with Offsetra to calculate carbon emission from all our NFT drops. We will offset these emissions through the Condé Nast company environmental investment portfolio.
A digital wallet is software that is used to transact with cryptocurrency and tokens. Cryptocurrency or NFTs are not stored in your wallet; these are stored on the blockchain with the keys to these tokens stored in your wallet. Each wallet has a unique public wallet ID or key. There are many software wallet options including Metamask (you can see how to create a Metamask wallet here). There are also hardware wallets with additional levels of security like Ledger. It is important to read through all the information when setting up a crypto wallet, as you want to ensure that you keep your login credentials and seed phrase (usually a list of 12 to 24 simple words from the dictionary, such as “blanket,” “curious” and “dragon,” that can restore your access to your wallet) secure.
The NFT market is still relatively nascent and unregulated, so it’s important to be very security conscious when buying, selling, or trading NFTs.
